Support the Gulf

The Savoy Suites Hotel Community Outreach Program turns its attention to the recent events in the Gulf of Mexico.


The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is causing distress for the local fishermen and shoreline businesses dependent on the Gulf waters including hotels, resorts and restaurants.  It will take an extraordinary effort to restore the region and the Savoy Suites Hotel would like to ask you for your help.


If you are planning a weekend visit to Washington DC, book the Support the Gulf rate and the Savoy Suites Hotel will donate $5.00 per room, per night to the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) when you book a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night stay now through February 28th 2011.

The Support the Gulf Package Includes:

• Guest room accommodations
• $5.00 per night donation to the Enviornmental Defense Fund (EDF)

 

Serve America and Stay in DC

The Savoy Suites Hotel has answered the national call to community service, UNITED WE SERVE, with our Serve America and Stay in DC package!

Simply book your next Georgetown vacation in Washington DC at the Savoy Suites Hotel and we will donate 50% of your room rate to a community service organization of your choice; or you can pay for 50% of your hotel bill by volunteering 5 hours of community service hours of your choosing!


Visit www.volunteermatch.org and find an organization that you would like to sponsor.  Please tell us the name and URL of the organization when making your reservation or complete the MyChoiceForService.pdf form and send to ServeAmerica@SavoySuites.com no later than 72 hours prior to arrival date. 

If you prefer to offer your personal time and work in your local community, complete 5 hours of community service and receive 50% off your hotel bill!  For every 5 hours of community service you perform, you will receive a 50% refund of one night's room rate.  You must complete your community service no less than 90 days before your arrival and no less than 90 days after your departure.  To receive your 50% refund, the following information must be emailed to ServeAmerica@SavoySuites.com:

1)  A verification letter on the organization's letterhead stating your name, the dates and number of hours of your community service performed.

2)  A copy of the organization's 501(c)3 certificate.

The Serve America and Stay in DC package is available July 1st 2010 through September 12th 2010.  This package must be booked at least 72 hours prior to arrival.  This package is not available in conjunction with any other discount offer or group reservation.  This package requires a minimum two (2) night stay.  The Serve America and Stay in DC package requires a full non-refundable pre-payment.  No cancellations or refunds will be permitted and your credit card is charged upon booking.
